RBP Appoints New Vice President Technology and Business Development

RBP Chemical Technology (www.rbpchemical.com) announced the appointment of Michael Carano as vice president of technology and business development. In this role, Carano will lead RBP’s product and business development activities in the electronics, medical and mining industries worldwide.

“I met Mike through the IPC nearly 25 years ago and have always been impressed by his many contributions to the electronics industry,” said Mark Kannenberg, president of RBP. “We are extremely pleased to have Mike join the RBP team. His experience and vast technical knowledge will fuel our ongoing commitment to bringing new technology to the markets we serve.”

Carano brings a unique combination of technology and marketing expertise with a proven track record of growing organizations through new product development, product launches and business development across the globe.

“I have long admired Mark Kannenberg and RBP for its innovative process technologies and relentless focus on customer satisfaction. I am thrilled to be joining such a well-managed and progressive organization,” said Carano.

Most recently, Carano served as global director of R&D and applications engineering at the OM Group Electronic Chemicals, LLC. Highly regarded for his influence in the electronics industry, Carano has published more than 150 technical articles and holds nine U.S. and 22 foreign patents. He was recently inducted into the IPC Hall of Fame in 2014 and has served as an IPC board member since 2004. Carano also founded and chaired the IPC Process Consumables subcommittee and is currently chairman of the IPC Ambassadors Council, helping to author the new IPC Technology Roadmap.
